McNally House in Grimsby has received a gift that will keep on giving. Patrick and Nancy McNally have donated $1.6 million to establish two endowment funds that will be used to support the ongoing operations of McNally House.

A byelection will be held in Jack Layton’s former riding on March 12, the prime minister’s office announced Sunday. The riding of Toronto-Danforth, which Layton claimed in 2004, has not been represented in the House of Commons since the former NDP leader died from cancer in August.
